Child Protection Social Worker \n\nWe are looking for a passionate and skilled Child Protection Social Worker to join our team in Liverpool, supporting vulnerable children and families across the city. You'll be part of a committed safeguarding team, working in partnership with local agencies to make a lasting impact on children's lives.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nUndertake child protection investigations and comprehensive risk assessments\n\nDevelop and review Child Protection, Child in Need, and Looked After Children plans\n\nHold and manage a varied caseload in line with Liverpool City Council's safeguarding procedures\n\nCarry out statutory visits, direct work with children, and engage with families to promote safety and positive outcomes\n\nContribute to case conferences, strategy meetings, and court proceedings\n\nProduce high-quality, evidence-based reports and maintain accurate case records\n\nCollaborate with education, health, housing, and police services in a multi-agency context\n\nFollow local policies in line with legislation including the Children Act 1989/2004 and Working Together to Safeguard Children\n\nParticipate in regular supervision, team meetings, and continuous development initiatives\n\nKey Requirements:\n\nQualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration\n\nExperience in statutory child protection and safeguarding work\n\nSound knowledge of child development, risk assessment, and relevant legislation\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\n\nAbility to work flexibly and manage complex caseloads effectively\n\nCommitment to Liverpool's child-centred, strengths-based approach\n\nEnhanced DBS check\n\nFull UK driving licence (desirable)
