Raspberry Pi (RPi) is looking for a Freight Coordinator to join our commercial department’s busy supply chain team. The role is based in the Cambridge office, where you’ll be expected to work at least four days per week. However, five in-office days per week are encouraged.
Reporting to: Freight Manager
The Freight Coordinator’s role is mainly to coordinate between freight forwarders, stakeholders, and the RPi team to ensure imports and exports run smoothly and efficiently, making sure to keep records up to date and communicate any changes.
Main Duties:
1. Freight Tasks:
1. Managing imports from suppliers:
1. Tracking shipments
2. Managing documentation and clearance instructions
3. Working with the warehouse team to receive goods
4. Working with suppliers on freight choices
2. Managing exports to customers:
1. Booking jobs with freight forwarders or couriers
2. Managing documentation and clearance instructions
3. Communicating progress and issues with customers and internal sales teams
4. Working with the warehouse team to organise collections
3. Managing couriers:
1. Liaising with couriers (DHL/UPS/FedEx) for clearance instructions and clearance details (on imports and exports)
2. Providing couriers with any information needed for clearance
3. Liaising with couriers for tracking and tracing
4. Coordinating between customers, sales, and couriers about returns, redirections, or destruction
5. Raising claims with couriers on damaged or lost shipments
6. Communicating updates to the sales team
7. Loading parcel shipments on couriers’ websites for return

Salary: circa £33,000–35,000
