Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and interactive computing lessons to students at KS3, KS4, and KS5. Develop a comprehensive curriculum that equips students with both the theoretical and practical aspects of computing, including programming, digital literacy, and cybersecurity. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independent learning and encourages curiosity in the digital world. Stay current with emerging computing technologies, integrating innovative tools and platforms into the curriculum. Collaborate with the department to share best practices and contribute to the development of the computing curriculum. Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians to ensure students' progress and address any concerns. Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. A formal teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent). Previous experience teaching computing at KS3, KS4, and KS5 is desirable. Expertise in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) and familiarity with industry-standard software and tools. Strong understanding of computer science principles, digital literacy, and e-safety. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students of all abilities.
