Job summary
You will have the scope and capability to contribute to the development of our organisations medical quality improvement programs. The purpose of the role is to facilitate the translation of research data and quality improvement programs into clinical practice and improvement of patient care. The duties include assisting with drafting and reviewing documentation and publications, project coordination and liaison with project teams, as well as presentation to external stakeholders and conference participation.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become involved in medical management and quality improvement projects with an internationally recognised research organisation involved in the analysis and dissemination of real-life research from large-scale observational studies and pragmatic randomised controlled trials.
This role is hybrid and based in our Cambridge or Norwich offices on a full or part time basis, with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Main duties of the job
1. To contribute to medical quality improvement programs
2. To continually assess the benefit of our quality improvement programs to patients, and tailor the programs to maximise their real-life application in a clinical setting
3. Review and contribute to scientific documents and publications (including proposals and reports)
4. To independently develop ethics applications for projects
5. To contribute to new and existing projects with respect to considering practical medical issues and clinical application; and to understand EMR data and coding systems and give guidance on the application of data to projects
6. Review and complete presentations, abstracts, and posters
7. Communication and liaison with internal team across various global locations
8. Liaison with study sponsors and steering committee experts
9. Presentations and calls with external stakeholders
10. Participation and presentations at international medical / scientific conferences

We are currently seeking candidates to fill a Medical Scientist role.

This role can be based in our Cambridge or Norfolk offices on a full or part time basis. Fully remote working with occasional visits to offices in the West Midlands is also available.

Qualifications
21. Doctor of medicine with experience in respiratory
22. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
23. Clinical experience or scientific study in the field of respiratory medicine is an advantage

24. Interest in research and scientific studies
25. Experience of health research projects
26. Experience in scientific writing, publication of peer-review journal publications preferred
27. Client relations, liaising with external parties internationally, strong leadership and presentation skills
28. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
