Emerald Equipment is seeking to hire an Accounting Clerk to complement our existing accounting department.
Emerald Equipment Systems is a full-service equipment sales and service company serving the needs of the aggregate and materials processing industries throughout the northeast.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops and maintains general ledger account supporting worksheets and documentation.
2. Maintains schedules of the various Rental agreements and assists with renewals and compliance.
3. Invoice rent and sales per contract on a monthly basis.
4. Assist in rent and sales collections.
5. Provides back-up to the accounting function.
6. Provides reports as requested.
7. Performs financial internal auditing as requested.
8. Performs other business office functions as requested.
9. Prepare JE’s and assist with month end and year end process.
10. Prepare ad-hoc reports organizing data for analysis.
11. Compile inventory information for weekly and monthly reporting.
12. Bank Reconciliation.
13. File and Pay Corporate and Sales and Use Taxes online.
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Experience:
* Associates degree in related field and/or work experience.
* 2-3 plus years of general accounting experience required.
* Knowledge of accounting procedures required.
* Strong technical skills required.
* NetSuite experience a plus.
* Microsoft Excel experience required.
* Microsoft Office 365 experience preferred.
* Strong writing and communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Compliance focused.
* Analytical thinker.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22-24.00 per hour
Supplemental pay type:
* Performance based bonus pay.
