Specialist Care Support Worker Southampton We are currently looking for compassionate and reliable support workers to provide care for individuals within our Specialist Care service in Southamptonarea. This is a flexible part-time role, offering long day shifts (24 hours per week), which may include weekdays and weekends. Given the nature of the role, candidates must hold a full, valid, and clean driving licence. If you are passionate about supporting individuals to live a meaningful and independent life, we would love to hear from you About You: You are an experienced, empathetic, and resilient support worker, committed to supporting individuals with a variety of needs, including autism, learning disabilities, mental health, and complex physical needs. You are compassionate, observant, and confident, especially when handling challenging behaviour or sensitive situations. You are skilled in monitoring changes in mood, developing techniques to calm or de-escalate situations, and supporting individuals in a person-centred way. You enjoy helping individuals maintain their independence, supporting them through daily tasks, and encouraging them to pursue their interests and hobbies. You take pride in your work, whether its assisting with cooking, domestic duties, personal care, attending appointments, or engaging in social activities. You are eager to develop your career through ongoing training, learning, and relevant qualifications. You are comfortable with animals (in some cases, you may be supporting individuals with pets like dogs). Help customers achieve their personal goals and aspirations, participating in social, emotional, and cultural activities in a person-centred way.
