Grey Seal Academy, a successful Ofsted Grade 2 training provider, is seeking a professional, experienced Trainer or experienced Horticulture / Grounds Maintenance Manager to deliver horticulture apprenticeships to a range of employed learners on Apprenticeship Standards. You will be training individuals and groups as well as making use of a range of technology such as Teams and an online portfolio. You will also have input into training design and improvements which will be individualised to learners and/or organisations. You will need to have gained solid horticulture/grounds maintenance experience, preferably with qualifications for training and assessment; however, qualifications can be achieved within the role where necessary.
We work with a range of large blue chip employers, public sector, and SMEs. You will also have the opportunity to deliver other Apprenticeships that you have occupational experience in, e.g., sports turf, golf greenkeeping, facilities management, etc.
Role – Horticulture / Grounds Maintenance Trainer / Assessor
1. Delivering training in horticulture/grounds maintenance and possibly other subjects. The additional subjects will only be added according to your personal work experience and knowledge.
2. Delivering training using a range of methods both individually and in small groups.
3. Delivering training mainly online individually and in groups. Some Apprenticeships will require site visits to do observations of the apprentice at their place of work.
4. Assisting with ongoing development and continuous improvement of training materials and course content.
5. Engaging with employers in terms of feedback, customer service, reviews, etc.
6. Working from home and field-based (expensed).
Requirements - Horticulture / Grounds Maintenance Trainer / Assessor
1. Horticulture/grounds maintenance experience.
2. Training/Supervisory experience.
3. Preferably with training and/or assessment qualifications e.g., A1, TAQA, E&T, PTTLS, Cert Ed, DTTLS.
4. Preferably with quality assurance qualifications e.g., IQA.
5. Horticulture qualifications are preferable.
6. Driving licence.

Pay: £26,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
