About the Role:
A vacancy has arisen in the Business Support Team of the Mid Kent Revenues and Benefits Partnership for a conscientious, motivated individual to deal with administrative duties relating to the recovery of overpaid Housing Benefit for Maidstone Borough Council, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and Swale Borough Council. This post involves assisting the 2 Overpayments Officers in dealing with the issuing of invoices and monitoring the collection of Housing Benefit Overpayments.
You will be required to monitor and collate data linked to the recovery process to ensure that the service is providing value for money. Continually seeking to improve service delivery and reduce complaints and unnecessary contact with the debtors.
This is a part time role working 25 hours per week on an 18 month fixed term contract.
About You:
Previous experience in an administrative role is essential. Work experience in welfare benefit or debt recovery administration would be advantageous.
You will need to effectively communicate by telephone, email and in writing. You need to be confident in using Microsoft Word and Excel software to produce and maintain letters and spreadsheets.
