Due to the success within our Public Sector business, we are looking for a talented individual to join us as our new Business Development Manager as part of our growing Public Sector Sales team. This is a new and exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to drive new business sales in a fast-expanding market where we are a market leader.
Reporting to and supported by the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for developing new prospects from new business development, networking, and attending events to support the end-to-end sales process from first engagement to negotiation and closing.
In your first year, you will be tasked to learn the business and drive new business sales from new and existing clients. In your second year, you will have developed your own core client base as well as continuing to generate new partnerships. This is an exciting opportunity to work cross-functionally with successful BDMs and Account Managers and embed yourself in the wider team. This opportunity will span across our product range including credit referencing, data, and debt collections.
What you’ll do
1. Identify and qualify new opportunities through outbound sales, inbound enquiries, networking, use of social media, industry events, and working with our current clients.
2. Deliver client presentations and demos on our market-leading solutions.
3. Negotiate and close new contracts with customers potentially with contract values ranging from £5,000 to £1.5mn.
4. Manage sales pipeline and forecasting.
5. Work with your peers across the TDX and Equifax Sales Teams in order to drive new clients and new opportunities through pipeline to close.
What experience you need
1. Previous B2B sales experience in software, data, or collections; preferably in the Public Sector.
2. Managed engagement and relationship management.
3. Track record of exceeding/meeting revenue targets in excess of £500,000 per year.
4. Ability to manage own workload efficiently and meet deadlines.
5. Strong communication skills.
6. Experience presenting to an audience up to an executive level.
