An opportunity has arisen for an efficient, organised and experienced out of hours Care Supervisor to join April. Applicants must have NVQ 2 or equivalent and have experience of working in care. Access to a vehicle is essential.
This is a flexible part-time (or full-time) out of office hours role. Please read the description thoroughly before applying - we are happy to answer pre-application questions if there is anything you do not understand. We cover Bridgend, Pencoed, Porthcawl, and Vale of Glamorgan.

Main Responsibilities include:
1. You will undertake on-call from 17.00-09.00 Monday to Thursday and 17.00 Friday to 09.00 Monday, on a one week in four plus holiday cover (we envisage that this will average as a one week on, one week off rota). If you are unable to cover the call with staff, you will be expected to go to the call yourself and will be paid the applicable rate on top. This does not occur often and details will be given at interview.
2. To be accountable to the Registered Manager for the smooth running of Care Assistant communication.
3. Line Manage and supervise allocated clients and Care Workers.
4. Monitor and maintain the electronic call times.
5. Ensure enquiries are recorded promptly and accurately with sufficient details.
6. Ensure any changes to Client or Care Assistant needs and availability are communicated to all relevant parties quickly and effectively. Ensure all changes are recorded in the appropriate place.
7. Liaise as necessary with partner professionals and organisations (e.g. social workers, GPS, nurses) in respect of developing and delivering holistic, person-centred packages of care.
8. Experience in Careplanner or similar desirable.
Skills and Abilities
1. Extremely well organised, excellent planning and prioritising ability with high attention to detail.
2. Ability to support & nurture your staff through excellent communications.
3. Excellent all-round communication skills.
4. Self-motivated and flexible.
5. Good computer skills including proficient use of MS Office, the ability to produce reports, and good computer systems knowledge.
