The operational adult safeguarding team takes robust steps to safeguard the residents of Sandwell through working in partnership with communities, statutory agencies, and the voluntary and private sectors, to investigate situations where an abuse has occurred or is at risk of occurring and building capacity and resilience while helping to co-ordinate and to develop holistic safeguarding plan for victims based on their desired outcomes. The team applies the principles of wellbeing and putting citizens at the centre of our work by making safeguarding processes personal to each individual and focussing on the outcomes they wish to achieve. Embedding a strengths-based approach in adult safeguarding procedures is fundamental in supporting the individual aspirations and in ensuring our commitment to safeguard our citizens in Sandwell are achieved. As a social worker in our well-established safeguarding team, you will: Conduct enquiries - investigate situations where an abuse has occurred or is at risk of occurring and to co-ordinate and develop holistic safeguarding plan for victims of abuse based on their desired outcomes Provide Support: Offer high-quality services to individuals at risk of abuse or neglect, ensuring their safety and well-being Advocate for Rights: Advocating for the rights and dignity of those you support Collaborate: Work collaboratively with the team and other stakeholders to enhance our safeguarding practices across Sandwell Place The successful candidate must have the following: Applicants must hold a current Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England Experience of working with adults is essential along with a good understanding of Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and related legislation and policy framework You must be able to apply the principles of wellbeing and putting citizens at the centre of your work through making safeguarding processes personal to each individual and focussing on the outcomes they wish to achieve You must be committed to embedding a strength's-based approach in adult safeguarding procedures as a fundamental principle in supporting the individual aspirations and in ensuring our commitment to safeguard citizens in Sandwell You must be passionate about safeguarding adults and be committed to continuous professional development and learning culture Our offer:- We offer access to supervision and good peer support driven by Strength-based Supervision Policy You will have an opportunity to enhance and develop your skills.
