Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Witham, Essex
Hours: 39 hours per week. Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:35pm and Friday 7:30am - 13:10pm.
Salary: £Competitive

What our client offers:
1. Provide hands-on support for injection moulding processes at the manufacturing site.
2. Assist in the implementation of new manufacturing processes, equipment, procedures, and systems.
3. Support the setup of production areas during new product introductions.
4. Analyse data to identify root causes of process failures and define system requirements.
5. Respond to process stoppages, troubleshoot issues, and reduce downtime to ensure smooth production runs.
6. Identify efficiency improvements to enhance productivity and drive cost savings.
What we are looking for:
1. 3-5 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.
2. Nationally recognised technical qualification in injection moulding, mechanical, industrial or electrical engineering.
3. Strong understanding of injection moulding methods.
4. Sharp problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
5. Familiarity with standard manufacturing techniques (experience with LEAN principles is a plus).
6. Ability to apply critical thinking to diagnose and resolve production or engineering issues.
7. Proficiency in reading technical instructions, engineering manuals, and machine-related documents.
8. Skilled in collaborating with diverse teams, building solid relationships across departments (Safety, Production, Quality, Procurement, Suppliers, and Product Development).
9. Experience with basic mechanical assembly, including the use of hand tools and measuring equipment, is beneficial.
10. Ensure compliance with company policies and national regulations regarding processes and procedures.
11. Basic project management knowledge is an advantage.
