Role Overview:
The Technical Service Supervisor plays a key role in supporting and mentoring our team of field service engineers. This position ensures the efficient and high-quality delivery of services to our clients, while maintaining compliance with company and industry standards.
We would also consider an experienced Senior Service Engineer looking for a step up into a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with the Technical Service Manager and service coordinators to oversee all aspects of service operations.
2. Conduct regular site visits for large remedial projects, providing feedback and updates.
3. Act as a first point of escalation for urgent client resolutions.
4. Assist the estimating team with technical support as required.
5. Provide one-on-one mentoring, feedback, and development plans for engineers.
6. Ensure compliance with company quality assurance and health & safety procedures.
7. Offer support to the Technical Service Manager as needed.
Essential Criteria - The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
1. Strong technical expertise in HVAC systems and equipment.
2. Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of engineers.
3. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to engage with clients and colleagues effectively.
4. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think on your feet.
5. Outstanding organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
6. A degree, relevant qualification, or extensive experience in an industry-specific subject.
7. Hands-on field experience in HVAC or a related technical environment.
