The University of Wolverhampton is entering an exciting period of growth and development, and we are seeking an exceptional Director of Student Recruitment, Marketing and Admissions to play a pivotal role in shaping our future success.

Student recruitment and income has grown rapidly over the last two years securing the University’s financial position and providing headroom to invest in numerous strategic initiatives including a new School of Medicine and an ambitious Estates Masterplan. Significantly, secure foundations have been established for further growth in student numbers both in the UK and internationally.
We are therefore looking for a new Director that is excited by a growth agenda and has the skills and ambitions to deliver this growth whilst simultaneously enhancing quality, student outcomes and ongoing regulatory compliance.
The new Director will be accountable for the strategic leadership, development and implementation of all student recruitment and admissions activities across the university. Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, and as a member of the University Executive Board, they will lead the Student Recruitment, Marketing and Admissions Directorate and work closely with a range of stakeholders to drive student recruitment and admissions operations focusing on evidenced-based decision-making, the development of efficient systems and processes and a superlative applicant experience.
Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of strategic leadership in international and UK student recruitment and admissions within the higher education sector. They will be professional and resilient, with a high level of personal integrity, and will be agile to adapt to new challenges. They will be able to think strategically and plan for the long term, while also having a focus on operational rigour and performance. They will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of international and UK education markets and regulatory and compliance requirements and they will be able to take staff with them, empower teams and show an unwavering commitment to diversity, opportunity and social mobility.
