REGIONAL IT ENGINEER – GROUP SERVICES SOLIHULL What you will be doing: An opportunity has arisen for a Regional IT Engineer to join the team at Galliford Try within our Group Services Division. Ideally, you will based in or around the Solihull area for this role and will have the opportunity to travel across the region. • Act as a point of contact supporting and coordinating the delivery of IT to end users and the business • Manage the setup and delivery of IT to new sites from requirements through to installation • Manage and coordinate 3rd party suppliers in delivering IT to end users • Attend service reviews with the Service Delivery Managers or any other relevant meetings • Take full ownership of all assigned incidents from the Service Desk • Establish the root cause of repeat incidents to reduce the volume impacting the business and provide workarounds to the Service desk where appropriate • Installation and configuration of hardware and software to end users • Establish the customer requirements and provide advice and guidance in shaping the solution • Manage and coordinate the implementation of IT infrastructure to new sites delivering a seamless end to end process for the customer • Management of assets within the supported business units, including both hardware and software • All assets must be recorded in the CMDB and on the appropriate asset registers • You will be required to support and deliver elements of project-based work • Provide recommendations for improvements About You: • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to forge relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers • Take ownership of workloads and making decisions to allow successful delivery • Strong problem solving skills, to both technical and non-technical problems • Knowledge of supporting, managing and deploying Operating Systems (Windows 7 and 10) along with its associated hardware • Experience of Microsoft Office 365 including both desktop and cloud based applications • Understanding of network technologies and products like MPLS, ADSL, 4G and radio • Experience of unified communications including VOIP and Skype 4 Business Exposure to Video Conferencing would be advantageous • Active Directory User and Computer Administration • Familiar with tablet and mobile technology with an exposure to MDM solutions, preferably Intune • Ideally 2 years previous experience of working in a customer facing IT environment • Qualified to a minimum of A level standard • ITIL qualified (minimum Foundation level) • Full, clean UK Driver’s License and the ability to drive for the role which requires extensive regional travel You will also be able to demonstrate the following key attributes. • Desire to understand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values and culture • Organised, structured and professional, with a passion for excellence, striving to delivering the best. • Flexibility, resilience and the ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders.
