You will be integral to the design, implementation and mobilisation of Organisational Development, Engagement, and Leadership initiatives and ensure improvements, learning and innovation align to the BHT objectives and strategies.
Main duties of the job
Leading on the design, delivery and evaluation of OD, Leadership and Engagement interventions in line with strategic business objectives.
Prioritising, planning, and organising a range of engagement, culture and OD programmes, and activities over varying timeframes, and formulating long-term strategic plans.
Act as the expert in organisational development, design, and support the implementation of best practice, creating interventions that encourage and enhance individual, team, and organisational performance.
Responsibility to ensure that equality and diversity are integrated into all aspects of the OD, Leadership, and engagement development plans and strategies.

The Head of Organisational Development and Leadership will lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of strategies to foster an inclusive, high-performing organisational culture aligned with BHT values and priorities. This role will drive staff engagement, leadership development, and organisational transformation to ensure the Trust delivers outstanding care and services for patients.

Person specification
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
* Educated to master's level or equivalent level qualification in a relevant subject or significant experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area.
* Recognised coaching or mentoring qualification or similar experience.
* Evidence of Continual Professional Development.
* Qualification in project and programme management.
EXPERIENCE
* Significant experience in Organisational Development & leadership and engagement within a large and complex environment.
* Experience and evidence of leading successful Organisational Development and leadership initiatives to deliver organisational goals and objectives.
* Experience of both strategy and policy formulation and experience of working at senior manager level.
* Experience of managing large scale transformation/continuous improvement within a complex organisation with a focus on organisational development and leadership.
* Evidence of the successful development and implementation of cultural change to drive organisational performance.
* The ability to work as a team member, both within teams internally and as an accomplished participant in cross-agency teams.
* The ability to work with senior management, clinical colleagues and other colleagues to make sound judgements and respond positively to a rapidly changing environment.
* Experience of commissioning of OD, leadership and engagement-related development programmes.

* A thorough understanding of national NHS strategy and policy.
* Partnership working and working knowledge of the National Strategies and other supporting initiatives.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage a broad range of stakeholders.

* Innovative, with the ability to ‘think differently’ and challenge current behaviours and mind-sets.
* Ability to manage and prioritise own workload and work independently to manage multiple deadlines and projects.
