As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring pricing strategies for AA Motor and Home Insurance products. This role involves conducting comprehensive pricing analysis, optimising profitability, and ensuring market competitiveness.
You will analyse market trends, evaluate competitive pricing, and adjust pricing models based on performance data. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to align pricing strategies with business objectives, and you will provide regular reports and insights on pricing performance and market conditions.
What will I be doing?
* Aiming to optimise the acquisition and retention of AA business, you will support the design, construction, and maintenance of robust pricing systems, models, and price test strategies.
* You will conduct competitor, portfolio, and ad-hoc analyses, identifying trends, modelling future scenarios, and ensuring the statistical validity of outputs.
* Collaborating closely with the Panel Management and Counter Fraud teams, you will develop analysis, insights, MI, and data to profitably grow insurer portfolios and mitigate the impact of fraudulent activities.
* You will perform analyses to support business cases and financial modelling.
* Ensuring the high quality of all analyses, you will focus on efficient data extraction and cleansing, timely reporting, and providing appropriate explanations and commentary.
* Working closely with the Business Readiness Test Team, Digital Team, and IT teams, you will act as a business interface, ensuring the business’s interests are represented.
* You will undertake the production and first-line review of regular MI reports, recommending actions based on the findings.
What do I need?
* Proven experience in a senior-level role, demonstrating the ability to perform complex statistical analysis through academic or professional experience.
* Capability to conduct, analyse, and evaluate routine optimisation tasks.
* Practical experience in insurance and consumer modelling.
* Understanding of multivariate analytical techniques applied to Personal Lines Insurance.
* Analytical experience in a data-rich environment.
* Knowledge of insurance and consumer modelling.
* Experience in implementing changes within business and IT systems, with appropriate oversight.
* Working knowledge of RADAR or Emblem.
