Production Planning Administrator

Our client, a market leader in the design, development, manufacture, and supply of Stainless-Steel containment storage solutions is currently seeking a Production Planning Administrator to join their team located in Eye, Suffolk.
An opportunity for the role of Production Planning Administrator has arisen to support and strengthen our clients existing team within the manufacturing areas. The role has a particular focus on ensuring a planning approach which delivers high levels of efficiency is adopted whilst maintaining a high level of customer service.
Essential Skills, Qualification & Knowledge
Proven experience gained within an ERP driven planning role.
The ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
Good administrative skills and IT proficient.
The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
The ability to deliver tasks and objectives by agreed deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities
To create and route special parts ensuring that they are manufactured safely, efficiently and are cost effective.
To create and download cutting programmes for the laser and punching machines as required.
To create sheet packing lists ensuring that they are in build order, to the correct weight limits, packing type and ensure all other customer requirements have been addressed.
Issue packing lists to Team Leader. Monitor progress and flag issues to the Senior Production Planner
To achieve a high level of stock accuracy by carrying out regular stock checks on punched and ground coat development sheets and update the Companys ERP system as appropriate.
Close production jobs to ensure the flow of information within the Companys ERP is optimised.
Identify and correct jobs that have booking errors and raise any ongoing issues with the Senior Production Planner.
To be involved in the purchasing of metal product including updating lead times and minimum stocks.
To be fully involved with improving and updating the companys ERP systems.
To assist with investigating stock discrepancies ensuring that information on the Companys ERP system is accurate and meaningful.
