Sanctuary Personnel have an exciting Permanent opportunity available for an experienced Social Worker to join a well-established Children’s service based in Slough.

Salary:£52,427 - £54,440 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time
Main Duties:
* Provideday to day management of the team, providing appropriate support and challenge to ensure the delivery of high quality services that safeguard the welfare of children and young people
* Manage the distribution of caseloads to ensure that the child oryoung person’s needs are met appropriately
* Support and challenge the team to meet the requirements aroundthresholds for cases, managing the preparation of high qualityreports for court or other purposes, challenging, providing expertadvice to guide the team through legal and organisational processesas required
* Support and challenge the team in the completion of assessments,plans, toolkits based on identified need, ensuring at each point risk is evaluated, decisions and management oversight are recorded on the case file and any issues or concerns are escalated to the Team Manager to address
* Chair the first and transfer core groups and CIN meetings to a highstandard,supporting social workers in further meetings as required
* Promote direct work with children and young people, supporting allmembers of the team to actively seek the views of children andfamilies to inform practice in assessment and planning in individualcases
* Develop and maintain own professional links and leads with partneragencies and the voluntary sector and support those of the TeamManager
Requirements of the Social Work Assistant Team Manager:
* Degree or equivalent in social work
* Current Social Work England registration
* Significant frontline experience in Children’s Services, including managing newly qualified social workers and/or unqualified staff
* Working knowledge of the legislative framework and relevantguidance and procedures as appropriate to the post
* Demonstrable understanding and application of the statutoryframework underpinning social work
* Evidence of continued professional development to enhance ownknowledge and skills ad encouraging others to developtheirs
* Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Officepackages
* Post graduate qualification or equivalent, or the willingness to work towards
