Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Engineer to help build a growing team and produce the leading Float tank (www.exo-float.com) the demand for which is growing rapidly. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing production processes, improving designs and processes and maintaining high-quality standards. This position requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, along with a good level of competence in various engineering software tools. Experience in electronic design and interfacing with hardware will be a benefit.
Duties
* Design and develop production processes and organise work schedules.
* Review and identify improvements in the product design using CAD software.
* Reduce costs by carrying out value engineering & continuous improvement methods.
* Work with team members to integrate control systems utilising SBC & other devices.
* Identify and troubleshoot equipment failures and perform necessary repairs or modifications both in-house and on-site.
* Maintain & create necessary documentation for processes, changes, instructions and reports.
* Guide and train graduates and new staff on processes, safety protocols and techniques required to produce the company products.
Requirements
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related field or at least 10 years of suitable experience.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks and general office software.
* Strong understanding of using & installing electrical and electronic controllers.
* Proven ability in root cause analysis and implementing continuous improvement techniques.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
* Ability to maintain quality and work in an organised way.
* Must have own transport as the facility is in the country with no public transport.
* Previous hands-on experience in an engineering role will be a significant advantage but not mandatory.
