We have an exciting opportunity for a HMP Ford to join our Primary Care team. A category D prison, HMP Ford is based near the historic town of Arundel, has easy travel links via the A27, and has a local train station, which is a 10-minute walk to Ford prison.
This is a part-time role working 15 hours a week over 2 days and you'll receive an annual salary up to £42,850 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
This role brings a great opportunity to embrace change and embed culture. The role of Occupational Therapist will be an experience like no other, requiring a diverse and mixed Occupational Therapy background. The role involves assessing, planning, and delivering care and therapeutic interventions to patients with complex and/or unstable healthcare needs. Reviewing care and therapy interventions will be a key aspect of the role.
* You can expect to be involved in all aspects of the care planning approach for clients within your caseload. Multi-partner working is essential, so the right level of communication and team working skills are essential.
* Excellent record-keeping skills to ensure that you maintain accurate records and provide the kind of helpful, empathetic support that will make every patient feel at ease.

With a diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy and registered with the HCPC, you will need to be empathetic and willing to learn and develop your skills. Experienced in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll be able to manage your caseload and apply an application of OT theory in the treatment of patients in an inpatient setting. An understanding of common medical, surgical, and neurological conditions is also required.
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
