Job summary Reporting directly to the NHS Regional Director, with professional accountability to the NHS Chief Financial Officer, the Regional Director of Finance is a senior member of the regional leadership team, supporting the Regional Director in delivering national and regional priorities for health and care in the region. Main duties of the job Support the Chief Financial officer in the development and implementation of the national finance regime - i.e. financial strategy and performance Produce, implement and articulate a clear financial strategy for the regions consistent with the long-term plan, mandate requirements and national financial frameworks, resource assumptions and investment priorities Oversee and assure the financial planning and redesign of services, particularly large scale and complex service reconfigurations, ensuring business cases are subject to rigorous financial appraisal, are financially viable and provide value for money.
