We are looking to hire an Operations Lead to help ignite our next stage of growth.
MyPocketSkill is an AI-empowered award-winning platform, helping Gen Z's to become more financially capable and employable. We connect 13-25 year-olds with opportunities to earn money and provide AI assisted upskilling, learning and financial education. Our successes as a leader in digital innovation have been recognised as part of Lloyds Launch and Santander X 100, amongst many.
This is an essential and trusted role that involves working closely with the founders across the organisation, intensively problem solving and removing barriers for things to happen.
Responsibilities include:
* Helping to refine and improve our operational processes, supporting customer engagement/delivery and product development.
* Deeper problem solving to deal with platform issues requiring intervention, such as customer complaints & payments issues.
* Building and enhancing our team HR, office, meetings etc.
* Coordinating delivery for some of our key existing and new projects (e.g. we currently work with High Street Banks and Grant awards).
Requirements:
* Flexible, self-starter, able to make autonomous decisions proactively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs.
* 4+ years of hands-on operations experience, ideally in a start-up or small business setting or demonstrating transferable skills into this area.
* A mix of process and analytical skills with strong action/execution bias, comfortable working with data.
* Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and a can-do attitude.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Reliable and consistent with strong follow-through.
* Curious, always looking for ways to improve systems and processes.
* Team player who enjoys working collaboratively but is also comfortable owning tasks.
Good to have:
* A relevant degree, relevant to operations.
* Technologically adept (ability to problem solve, analyse).
* Experience in process improvement or operations optimisation.
* Prior experience in a start-up or scale-up environment.
Salary: £30k - £35k dependent on qualifications and experience. Equity potential.
Core Hours: 40hrs/week. Days/hours by agreement. Could potentially start on a P/T basis.
