Job description Job Title: Baby Room Leader Job Type: Permanent, Full-time Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week Salary: £29,840 per annum Overall Job Role
* Deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development, and care for babies.
* Manage the day-to-day running of the Baby Room.
* Ensure the room is a safe environment for children, staff, and visitors.
* Develop partnerships with parents/guardians to enhance involvement in their child’s development.
* Manage and lead your team (1 other person).
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the effective daily running of the Baby Room.
* Maintain a sound knowledge of company policies, procedures, and expectations.
* Act as a role model to the staff team by demonstrating high-quality practice in all areas.
* Ensure excellent hygiene, health and safety, and security practices in the nursery.
* Work collaboratively with managers, the deputy, and other room leaders, particularly the Infant Room Leader.
Qualifications (Essential)
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
* Experience working with babies/under 2s.
* Strong knowledge of the Early Years Sector.
Relevant Experience and Skills (Essential)
* At least 2 years of experience working in a nursery.
* Previous experience as a key person.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the current Ofsted framework.
Behaviours and Attitudes
* Excellent verbal communication skills with staff, children, and parents.
* Strong written communication skills to write reports and maintain clear and accurate records.
* Basic administrative and IT skills.
