First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Sales Account Manager on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Identify opportunities with new and existing customers, target these prospects with a clear and detailed plan enabling you to build long term profitable sales, develop relationships and recommend solutions.
2. Build relationships with new and existing customers to establish yourself as their key account manager and grow these accounts where opportunities are identified.
3. Respond to incoming email and phone enquiries ensuring customers are quoted and orders are processed by the Sales Support Team.
4. Create a daily outbound call plan ensuring you have a clear pro-active approach.
5. Listen to customer requirements creating detailed proposal documents and present appropriately.
6. Challenge any objections to convert your quotes.
7. Actively look for ways to grow business by immersing yourself in the industry and working closely with the sales leadership team on new ideas and prospects.
8. Advise customers on forthcoming product developments and discuss special promotions.
9. Maintain clear and up to date customer records on the company CRM.
10. Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events etc. as and when required.
11. Remain motivated at all times, manage your workload in a progressive and proactive way to achieve your KPIs.
12. Follow company quality management and health & safety guidelines.
13. Other reasonable tasks as requested by the Senior Management team.
Skills and Qualifications:
14. Previous internal sales experience (ideally, minimum experience 3+ years).
15. Strong B2B sales experience, ideally consultative and/or technical.
16. Account management and business development experience is essential.
17. Strong communicator both verbally and in written form at all levels.
18. Ability to develop and maintain effective, positive working relationships with internal /external professionals.
19. Enjoys working to sales targets and goals, always striving to overachieve.
20. Good all-round IT skills and previous experience using a CRM system.
21. Must be team player with ‘can do, will do’ positive attitude, determination, and confidence.
22. Resilience and negotiations skills essential.
23. Ability to prioritise work and adapt positively to changing priorities.
24. Able to work on own initiative.
25. Experience in selling electrical accessories or cables would be highly advantageous.
26. Experience selling into a wholesale/re-distribution market will be highly desirable.
27. Formal sales qualifications and training will support any application.

Salary: £28,000 – £33,000
