Yourrole in the mission:
Type OneEnergy are looking for an experienced Engineering Technician forour Boston MA center of excellence. You will play a pivotal role insafety and reliably developing the manufacturing capability of ourhigh temperature superconducting (HTS) magnetprogram.
You will work closely with EngineersPhysicists and Senior Leadership Team to develop and performmanufacturing processes and procedures.
You willoperate the systems required to build and test HTS magnet systemsthat may include cryogenics CNC machines machine tools solderingand braising vacuum welding and other specialized equipment. Thisposition requires strong human performance skills attention todetail and safety as the toppriority
What youllneed:
* Developand implement a manufacturing strategy for our magnet activitiesaligning with the organizations goals andobjectives.
* Work closely with our Manufacturingsupervisor and a team of Engineers ensuring a positive andproductive work environment.
* Provide guidanceon technical and safety issues and offer training to improve teammembers skills.
* Collaborate withcrossfunctional teams to understand develop and fulfilrequirements.
* Work closely with the Technologydepartment to ensure engineered components are manufacturablereliable and designed with best practices inmind.
* Monitor and address any safety or qualityissues.
* Maintain accurate records of activitiessuch as travellers.
* Read and interpret assemblydrawings wiring diagrams and detailed workinstructions
* Produce and Build a variety ofelectromechanicalassemblies.
RequiredExperiences :
* Provenexperience in manufacturing with a focus on safety quality andreliability.
* Minimum 3 years of experience inmanufacturing
* General knowledge of electricalsystems including soldering basic circuits power systemselectromechanical assemblies
* Strongunderstanding of CNC machines (5 axis preferred) machine tools highenergy systems etc. Ability to run a CNC machineunsupervised.
* Experience in participating in orconducting safety reviews andinvestigations.
* Experience writing andreviewing manufacturing checklists andprocedures.
* Strong attention to detail andorganizational skills.
* Knowledge of regulatorycompliance related to manufacturing activities includingOccupational Safety and Healthstandards.
* Familiarity with general qualitycontrol systems and best practices.
* Familiaritywith large complex assemblies.
* Ability tooccasionally lift up to 50 lbs
* Performactivities such as stooping typing standing or sitting for extendedperiods of time
* Associate degree or higher inengineering technology (preferred) a related field or equivalentexperience.
* Familiarity with quality assuranceand quality control processes. Hands on experience with HTS orcryogenic systems (desirable)
* CNC/CAM Codingexperience (desirable)
* Familiarity withmetrology systems such as laser scanning equipment gauges and handmeasurement tools(desirable)
