About the Role:
As a Lead Demand Planner, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the long-term planning of the business. From setting forecasts to placing orders for fully factored goods, you will be instrumental in managing stock levels and ensuring world-class OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) performance. You will also take a lead role in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, as well as helping to define and implement ERP planning policies across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the S&OP process across multiple sites
* Manage demand planning and forecasting for all product lines
* Oversee the Excess & Obsolescence process
* Ensure all purchase goods for resale (PGFR) are ordered efficiently
* Collaborate with scheduling and material control teams
* Validate master data across all sites and coordinate ERP part creation
* Work closely with procurement and scheduling teams to set stock re-order policies
* Ensure agreed stocking policies and targeted stock turns are met
* Meet key performance metrics including cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness
What We’re Looking For:
We seek a professional with strong leadership skills, preferably with experience managing a small team. You should have a proven track record in demand planning and supply chain forecasting, ideally with a degree in a relevant field. The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally, coupled with strong negotiation and influencing skills, is essential. Proficiency in ERP systems & Excel is required, and scheduling experience would be beneficial. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills are a must, along with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills and a proactive approach to working in a fast-paced environment. Being highly organised and methodical is essential, as is having keen attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset. Enthusiasm and a ‘can-do’ attitude, along with a strong desire to succeed, are key qualities. The ability to work efficiently under pressure is also important. A valid driver’s licence is required, as some travel between sites may be necessary.
