A permanent position for a Maintenance Engineer based in the Huntingdon area. This is a great opportunity to make the position your own, you will have full autonomy and be supported by a small team. The company globally is a large, very dynamic and the market leaders in their industry.The Maintenance Engineer will work with a team of Maintenance Fitters & Electricians for the delivery of a responsive and effective engineering service to production and site operations. Ability to investigate and resolving equipment failures within a timely manner while communicating effectively with the line managers and other departments.Pro-actively look at new ways of working, new system upgrades and new equipment, all to meet the changing technological challenges.Main responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer:
1. Repairing and maintaining site equipment and machinery.
2. Respond to breakdowns, systematically fault find and identify root cause and then implement solution to prevent recurrence in a fully automated factory.
3. Work with production, support groups and suppliers to implement improvement opportunities to increase equipment efficiency and safety and reduce engineering downtime.
4. This role will involve working on various different types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic control systems.
