We have a great opportunity for an organised, self-motivated Technical Support Engineer, with a strong exposure to networking and excellent team player capabilities, to join a well-established company, based in Bromley, South East London.
The ideal candidate will have previously worked in a fast-paced, customer-facing IT support environment and have good experience of Cloud, hosted services, on-site and remote support.
They are looking for someone with around 5 years' hands-on experience troubleshooting user and customer issues in Cloud-based and Windows desktop and server environments and have extensive experience of supporting, administering and troubleshooting all Office packages, such as Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Outlook on mobile devices, tablets, desktops, and laptops.
Responsibilities:
1. Completing technical support tasks, solving IT issues
2. Problem solving and closing support calls on cloud-based and on-prem systems
3. Troubleshooting issues with servers, firewalls, WIFI, and network equipment
4. Building and configuring laptops, MACs, and PCs
5. Answering telephone calls from customers
6. Recording, managing, and closing support calls
7. Visiting customer sites
8. Delivering outstanding customer service
Essential Requirements:
1. Completing daily tasks such as setting up user accounts, MFA, email accounts, and security groups
2. Ability to build laptops and desktops from scratch
3. Extensive experience of supporting, administering, and troubleshooting all Office packages
4. Strong understanding of networking
5. Good experience of on-prem and Cloud-based IT systems
6. Knowledge of supporting regular backups
7. Supporting centrally controlled and standalone anti-virus software
8. Excellent knowledge of daily security activities, such as updates and password management
