About the role We’re looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable Learning and Development Assistant to join our fast-paced and growing team This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in Commercial Insurance who’s passionate about supporting the growth of others and ready to transition into a learning and development career. You’ll be helping to upskill colleagues across both client-facing and non-client-facing roles, sharing your expertise to support the development of subject matter experts across the business. You’ll also be helping shape our training culture, bringing energy & ideas to every session you deliver What you'll get up to: Deliver engaging training sessions to teams across the business, with a focus on commercial insurance knowledge. Use coaching techniques to follow up on learning and embed knowledge. Present confidently to groups of all sizes, both in-person and virtually. Encourage self-development and create buy-in across a wide range of audiences. Identify learning gaps and recommend creative, practical solutions using a range of formats. Keep organised records of sessions, coaching follow-ups, and evaluation feedback. Support with course design, training materials, and continuous improvement of programmes. Oversee and manage our internal Learning & Development hub/page, ensuring content is regularly uploaded, accurate, and up to date. Champion L&D in everyday conversations – embedding learning as a key part of culture by confidently exploring development opportunities across teams. Deliver regular business-wide updates on L&D initiatives, wins, and progress. About you: Commercial insurance knowledge - ideally from a previous role within the commercial insurance industry. Comfortable delivering training and speaking publicly. Strong organisation and time management skills. A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn (you’ll teach us commercial, we’ll teach you L&D). A passion for helping others grow and succeed. Experience in coaching, mentoring, or supporting the development of others. Familiarity with tracking training impact and reporting on ROI. A creative approach to learning delivery and engagement.
