The Role As an Associate Director, you will provide strategic oversight and technical leadership across all MEP disciplines on this landmark development. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage key client and stakeholder relationships, and ensure the successful delivery of MEP systems from pre-construction through to handover and beyond. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic direction for all MEP aspects of the project, aligning with wider business and project objectives. Lead the overall MEP delivery strategy, overseeing programming, resource planning, risk management, and commercial performance. Act as the key point of contact for clients, consultants, and supply chain partners on all MEP-related matters. Champion innovation and digital engineering, leveraging technologies for programme coordination, productivity tracking, and quality assurance. Drive design development and coordination, working closely with design consultants to optimise performance, cost, and sustainability outcomes. Lead commissioning strategy and implementation, ensuring industry-leading performance across all building services. Oversee QA/QC processes, ensuring high standards of workmanship, compliance, and project documentation. Support project close-out, managing testing, commissioning, handover, and post-occupancy stages. Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the MEP delivery teams. Contribute to sustainability and net zero goals through effective system design, specification, and delivery.What We’re Looking For Extensive technical expertise in building services engineering, including design, construction, and commissioning. Proven experience leading MEP delivery on complex projects, ideally £20m MEP value, in life sciences, healthcare, or similar technically demanding sectors. Strong understanding of prefabrication, digital construction, and innovative delivery methodologies. Solid commercial awareness, with the ability to manage budgets, contracts, and supply chain performance. Excellent leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders. Deep knowledge of health, safety, quality, and sustainability standards. A proactive and adaptable leadership style, focused on outcomes, collaboration, and team development.Qualifications & Certifications Degree or equivalent in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Chartered status (or working toward) with a relevant professional body such as CIBSE, IET, IMechE, SoPHE, or CIOB. SMSTS and CSCS certification. Additional qualifications in project management or leadership are highly desirable.Why Join?
