Steamatic Horsham/Grampians is a family-owned business that restores people’s lives. When disaster strikes, be it flood, fire, or mould contamination, we carry out the appropriate work to restore client premises. We are the leader in our field.
Our services include structural drying, mould remediation, and biohazard remediation. Steamatic’s primary goal is a measured and rapid response to get clients back to business or back into their homes as quickly as possible. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Opportunity:
Do you enjoy helping people? An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, organised, and enthusiastic person to join the Steamatic Operations Team, covering the Grampians region. As an integral part of the business, the Trainee Branch Manager will work closely with the Ballarat Director, with comprehensive training provided.

This is a highly visible role, where you will have a meaningful impact on how we grow the Grampians region. You’ll be doing interesting work on a variety of jobs, where every day is different. Your desire to succeed, sound business and networking skills, and practical trades skills will make this a challenging and rewarding role.
We believe the position will ideally suit someone looking to transition from working on the tools to a leadership or management position. Training will be provided, tailored to suit the individual's previous experience.
We seek a suitably experienced Industry Professional / Trades Person who has the capacity to learn how to:
* Assess and cost jobs
* Lead small crews
* Carry out work on the tools
* Schedule and supervise work
* Liaise with clients
* Network and develop business relationships

You will need (either existing or capacity to learn):

* Computer literacy – all works are driven by our proprietary software
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to ensure jobs are assessed, scheduled, and managed within budget and time specifications
* Confidence and ability to deal with a diverse range of people and to have empathy in every situation
* Able to accept some occasional “away from home” assignments
* Lateral thinking and skillset to see tasks through to completion
* The ability to manage competing deadlines
* Some flexibility regarding hours – standard hours Monday to Friday 7:45 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional after-hours and weekend work
* A Police Check & Working with Children’s Check (WWC)
* Current White Card
* The right to work in Australia and be prepared to undergo drug and alcohol testing
