About Us

To help us deliver this vision, we are looking for a dynamic public health professional who wants to focus on improving public health outcomes, supporting policy-making, and working with government bodies to ensure compliance with health regulations to improve health outcomes for Oxfordshire residents.

About the Role
This role is Information Analyst in the Public Health Intelligence team (maternity cover, fixed term for a year).
It is an exciting time to be joining our Health Intelligence team as we continue to develop the range of analytical support that we offer to Public Health colleagues and collaborate with analysts across the Council and in partner organisations.
The Information Analyst role contributes to surveillance and monitoring and supports needs assessments, service design and commissioning.
You will be delivering high quality data analysis and helping to develop reports, dashboards and other online data resources.
You will also play a key role in the development of statutory statistical collections such as the Director of Public Health Annual Report and the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment.
About You
Are you passionate about improving health outcomes for the people of Oxfordshire? We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to take up a role in our dynamic Public Health team.
You will have excellent written, numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong eye for detail.
You will have made extensive use of Excel spreadsheets, databases and a range of reporting tools and you are able to talk a range of audiences through the key findings from your work and the limitations of any analysis.
A good understanding of the role of Public Health and local government will be advantageous.
Full training will be provided on the council’s systems and data platforms.
