Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Centre Manager to oversee the daily operations of our centre. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. This role requires excellent communication skills, as well as the capability to analyse performance metrics to drive improvement. The Centre Manager will be responsible for creating a positive environment for both staff and clients, ensuring that all services are delivered to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and supervise a team of staff members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
2. Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance service delivery.
3. Manage the Day Care Centre, which provides activity-based care for elderly service users.
4. Understand, implement, and evaluate aims, objectives, policies, procedures, guidelines, and principles of good practice.
5. Understand and implement legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to the service user group.
6. Operate a service that is flexible, responsive, and non-discriminatory.
7. Assess potential service users who may be considering attending the centre.
8. Work with other professionals to develop a specialist service.
9. Market the service to potential service users directly or via other agencies.
10. Maintain effective communication with service users, relatives, carers, and other members of the general public.
11. Create and maintain administrative systems.
12. Recruit, select, and supervise specialist staff, supporting a dispersed workforce.
13. Plan, allocate, and evaluate the workload of all staff.
14. Collaborate with the Training and Development Officer to organise inductions and ongoing training needs, providing a positive learning environment for all staff.
15. Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
16. Develop and maintain effective assessment and review procedures, which become the foundation for appropriate personal documentation.
17. Ensure that appropriate types of intervention take place to meet service user needs and rights.
18. Liaise with other agencies involved with the service user to ensure the provision of integrated services.
19. Manage daily centre operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
20. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team efficiency.
21. Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for clients, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
Experience
1. Proven leadership experience in a managerial role within a similar environment is essential.
2. Experience in analysing operational data to inform decision-making processes.
3. Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively, with a focus on motivation and development.
4. Previous experience in supervising staff is required, along with a commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
