The Opportunity on Offer
As an Assistant in Nursing, you will provide support that considers the residents' physical, spiritual, social, and cultural needs, enabling them to maintain their own well-being and independence for as long as possible. You will be responsible for the delivery of care and services to residents in all areas of activities of daily living in accordance with the residents' identified needs and preferences.
How you will make an Impact
You will report to the Registered Nurse in Charge of the Home and be a key member of the team. Some of the key responsibilities of the role are:
* Supporting residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and hygiene
* Supporting and assisting residents with food and fluids as required
* Assisting the nursing staff with treatments as directed
* Observing and reporting promptly any changes in the condition or well-being of residents
* Assisting residents with recreational activities with direction from the Lifestyle Team
About You
You are an individual with a caring nature who gets satisfaction from making a positive difference in the lives of our residents every day. You enjoy working in a team where no two days are the same. You are excited to share your ideas and make a contribution to the wider community.
Requirements:
* Minimum Certificate III in Aged Care
* Previous experience in a Residential Aged Care Facility essential
* A high level of written and verbal communication skills
* Must possess valid working rights
* Current NDIS Workers Screening Check
