Background
We are seeking to appoint a laboratory scientist with a background in cell biology and/or molecular biology to join the lymphoedema research group. You will be responsible for assisting the group leaders with their new MRC/BHF-funded programme grant by overseeing lab management. We hope to recruit a colleague who will thrive as part of a multi-disciplinary group and who will work collaboratively to deliver the experimental aspects of the project.
Person Specification
Key attributes of the successful applicant include:
1. Understanding of molecular biology and molecular genetics
2. Direct practical experience with cell culture and in vitro studies
3. Competent use of nucleic acid and protein techniques
4. Experience with lab management and co-ordination of multiple projects simultaneously
5. Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
6. Capable of preparing and presenting data for publication and dissemination
