Job summary
We are looking for an experienced registered clinician (paramedic, nurse or AHP) who is passionate about using technology to improve patient care and lead our approach to Health IT clinical safety. You will work across the organisation to support the design of digital services and capabilities and ensure clinical safety is considered throughout the lifetime of projects and initiatives. You will lead on clinical governance within health IT and be responsible for ensuring the organisation is compliant with the clinical safety standards DCB0129 and DCB0160. Training will be provided for the successful candidate and access to continuing professional development related to the post
Main duties of the job
To operate as a clinical leader supporting the design of digital services and capabilities across the organisation including access to regional and national systems and technologiesLead on the promotion, innovation and transformation of clinical services and pathways using information and technologies to support and improve:Patient outcomes and efficiencyClinical SafetyIntegrated care across the systemDigital empowerment of patients and citizensHold expertise on digital clinical safety and user led design, leading relevant working groups/projects, services, and initiatives to provide digital transformation, information and analytical advice and Clinical Safety is considered throughout the lifetime of projects and initiatives, identifying, and mitigating associated clinical Clinical Governance within Health IT including close liaison with the Patient Safety Team. The post holder will be involved in reporting, investigating, and resolving clinical safety incidents and making recommendations on the safety of Digital Health Applications and IT Systems.
