Financial Planning Analyst

Role Summary:
Responsible for the control of core financial operational processes, particularly revenue, cost of sales, and royalties, to ensure the integrity and reliability of monthly financial outputs from the FP&A team. This will be demonstrated by timely, accurate, and informative month-end information that helps senior management and the wider business understand key performance drivers.
Additionally, the role will identify new informational needs in the business to collect, analyze, and report such information to support management in the decision-making process, enabling the development of strategic and financial plans.
Main Responsibilities:
* Preparing for and attending weekly flash forecast meetings to assess the latest financial position of the company.
* Attending operational walkround meetings to see where finance can positively impact the business and take relevant actions where applicable.
* Posting and reconciling items related to revenue, cost of sales, and royalties, including both P&L and B/S nominals.
* Supporting the accurate maintenance and analysis of B/S, P&L, cash flows, and other reports to summarize the current and projected financial position of the company.
* Supporting Customer Programme Managers to understand the financial performance of their Value Stream.
* Supporting the organization’s budgeting and forecasting process, including data gathering and analysis for site and group reporting.
* Producing the management report pack by working day 5, including a full analysis of financial information, detailing variance to budgets, forecasts, and prior year.
* Ensuring that appropriate internal and external controls and financial accounting standards are adhered to in the preparation and completion of month-end journals and reports.
* Supporting the company’s annual audit process by maintaining accurate and detailed audit trails and supporting audit queries.
* Ensuring all reporting information is relevant and accurate by reviewing and amending reports regularly.

* Comply with statutory requirements and regulations and Company policies.
* Undertake such other duties commensurate with the role that may be required from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Part Qualified or studying toward full accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent professional qualification.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a large multinational company.
* Strong system capability and advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivots, etc.).
* Experience of complex financial models and analysis of large data sets.
* Ability to communicate confidently at all levels and explain financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.
* Able to establish and develop business relationships across all functions.
* Able to embrace and actively support change in a rapidly progressive organization.
* Aptitude to work effectively under pressure and prioritize own workload to meet deadlines.
* Demonstrates the ability to work within the broader business context while providing practical application to “Get the job done.”
Key Working Relationships:
* Regular contact with the Senior Management Team and wider finance team.
* Regular contact with operational staff.
* Regular contact with Global Stakeholders Ontic US & Ontic Singapore Finance.
* Suppliers – supporting IPT Team & Pricing Audits.
