An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Commissioning and Partnerships Service as a SEND Development Officer. The role, which sits within the SEND Commissioning Team, is varied and offers the opportunity of working directly with families and communities alongside supporting the development of the Local Offer website and co-ordination of transitions for families.
You will join an experienced and supportive team who will help you in working with our partners to improve access to services for children and young people with SEND. You will be supported to develop and enhance your skills in a team which values opportunities and progression.

About the role
These role is varied and will work to support the development of the Local Offer and improve opportunities for children and young people with SEND.
The key outcomes of this role are:
* Relevant, engaging, accurate and timely information is available to Salford residents, young people, parents and professionals working with children and young people with SEND. People are aware of the Local Offer and can access relevant information
* Accurate monitoring of data and analytics which is reported quarterly and annually in a formal and engaging manner
* Project support and key updates to the SEND Partnership Board and key subgroups
* Children and young people are able to access information, support and advice which is accessible, relevant and engaging. Families report they are able to access services which meet their needs.
* Content and strategies are co-produced by children, young people and families
* Children and young people have successful transitions which are appropriately supported by services

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £21.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £5.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £21.50
