Teaching Assistant (Early Years) – 5 Mornings Per Week
Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early learning journey? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in one of our client primary schools in Gateshead as of January.
Position Details:
* Location: Gateshead
* Hours: 5 mornings per week (Monday to Friday)
* Term: Term-time only
* Start Date: 6/1/2025
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative learning experiences for children aged 3-5
* Support children in developing their social, emotional, and academic skills.
* Encourage a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to children where needed.
* Help with classroom preparation, tidying, and organization.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A genuine passion for working with young children.
* Previous experience in an Early Years or similar setting (preferred but not essential).
* A relevant qualification in childcare or education (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
