About Our Client
Our client is a reputable Toronto-based real estate development & construction company.
Job Description
* Handle and process all aspects of accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and government filings.
* Perform monthly investment portfolio updates to maintain accurate value of holdings.
* Complete Bank Reconciliation and Government Filings.
* Ensure accounting processes are executed efficiently and effectively.
* Ability to access and accurately input information using QuickBooks Online.
* Must have considerable knowledge of basic accounting principles (i.e. journal entries, debits, credits, etc.) and accounting functions.
* Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision.
* Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines.
* Must have excellent organizational skills.
* Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
The Successful Applicant
* University education in Business Administration/Accounting/Finance
* 3-5 years experience in General Accounting, Audit, or Bookkeeping
* Experience within the Real Estate/Construction industry will be an asset but is not required
* CPA or on track to obtaining designation is preferred, but not required
* Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and Word
* Able to work independently
* This position is full-time in office, located close to Yonge & Eglington (Toronto)
