Support National Grid Electricity Transmission transition to net zero by simplifying, aligning, and streamlining operations resulting in improved ways of working. Identify opportunities for business performance improvement and options to close organizational capability gaps while building and enhancing the ET business architecture. Work in matrix teams to ensure business information and terms are documented in a maintained current and future state architecture, creating a common understanding of the ET business and reducing repeat analysis and duplication of work at the project level.
Act as a team leader and key contributor in a high performing team that strives to enhance strategic planning and contribute to cost reduction across the ET organization. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in ambiguity, acting as a pioneer for new ways of working. The successful candidate will possess the ability to envision and establish a clear direction for the team, demonstrating a strong desire to advance their career while taking charge of the team. National Grid is hiring for a Senior Business Analyst for our Electricity Transmission department as part of the wider Strategy & Transformation team. This is a hybrid role based in Warwick that will require at least 1-day a week on site.
Key Accountabilities
* Lead & support defining and documenting ET business architecture (i.e., capabilities, processes & systems at the enterprise level)
* Build strong relationships with ET colleagues, living the National Grid values: Do the right thing, Find a better way; and make it happen.
* Support teams in identifying capability gaps and provide solution options by researching industry best practices and trends
* Ensure effective escalation of capability gaps across ET
* Identify and understand all customer needs and target improvement actions with the largest cost benefit
* Share best practices, knowledge, and lessons learned with the wider Transformation team
* Contribute to defining and establishing relevant frameworks & standards (i.e., Process, continuous improvement)
About You
You will be an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in Business Architecture to streamline processes, identify performance improvement opportunities, and enhance organizational capabilities. You will have experience in:
* Business analysis, and a strong background in Business Architecture to drive strategic analysis and process improvement initiatives
* Designing, preparing, and facilitating workshops, with excellent communication and presentation skills
* Experience with the following methods and tools: TOGAF, Visio, Blueworks, PowerPoint, Excel, change management, project management, PowerBI, six sigma
* Requirements management, Business modeling, and BPMN Standards
* Stakeholder relationship management – building good relationships and ability to influence
* Mentoring, training, and leading others
* Strong ability to work independently and prioritize workload
* Knowledge of the utilities industry and/or construction is desirable
What You'll Get
A competitive salary between £55,000 - £65,000 – dependent on capability.
