Responsibilities Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations for completeness and accuracy to maintain the integrity of inventory on the general ledger Manage and book the annual inventory reconciliation between the general ledger and sub-ledger Work with the SBS Inventory Accounting Team to train and coordinate the annual physical inventory process at manufacturing facilities Collaborate with departments like Commercial Finance, Supply Chain, Global Procurement, and Operations Finance to ensure task completion Manage the operations accounting staff, analyzing monthly inventory variances such as defective inventory provisions, losses, and obsolescence Maintain oversight of cycle count programs across various sites and review monthly opportunity cost reports to help identify and address root causes Perform ad-hoc P&L analysis to ensure accurate inventory reporting and provide timely information for operational decision-making Assist with audit requests as needed, ensuring compliance with month-end close timetables Support transitions to new ERP systems and handle other ad-hoc responsibilities as required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration with a finance/accounting focus or equivalent qualifications Several years of accounting experience with a strong understanding of financial systems Experience in supervising teams and managing personnel Proficiency with Oracle ERP (OPM and/or Financial), OBIEE, and standard cost development; experience with Oracle implementation Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access; experience with OneStream and other Oracle systems/tools Ability to work under and achieve strict deadlines effectively; expertise in developing reports and conducting monthly variance accounting.
