General Summary
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit with a commitment to quality and safety. Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill are performed using the process in accordance with hospital policy, procedures, and nursing philosophy.

SALARY RANGE: $34.27 - $56.01 HOURLY
Responsibilities
* Provide direct, professional nursing care to specified population of patients in the acute care setting.
* Develop a patient-centered plan of care based on individualized needs.
* Maintain confidentiality of the patient medical record.
* Counsel and educate patients and their care partner on treatment plans.
* Administer medication following the five rights of medication administration.
* Provide wound care and dressing changes, as applicable.
* Read and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions when appropriate.
* Consult with physicians to decide on best treatment decisions when appropriate.
* Perform nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
* Observe and record patient behavior and response to nursing interventions.
* Demonstrate quality, safe, and effective patient care.
* Provide delegation to unlicensed assistive staff and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) staff.
* Demonstrate standards of excellence which includes practicing nursing with core values of compassion, accountability, respect, teamwork, and integrity.
* Demonstrate understanding and execute quality and performance improvement plans (only for RN evaluation).
* Participate in decision making and take actions based on ethical principles (only for RN evaluation).
* Provide timely and accurate documentation of patient care.
* All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
Required Education, Credential(s) And Experience
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program/university with Nursing Diploma or above.
Credential(s): Registered Nurse (RN), Basic Life Support (BLS).
* ACLS / PALS may be required per manager's direction and timeframe. Commit to seeking specialty certification within the timeframe as indicated during the interview.
Experience: While not required, acute RN experience is strongly preferred.

Education: Bachelor Degree Nursing (BSN).
Credential(s): Certification related to the position, if applicable.
Experience: Experience in Critical Care.
