Job Title: Product Strategy Manager
Salary: £49,300 - £55,000 per annum
Location: Cambridge/Hybrid (2 – 3 days per week in the office)
Contract: Permanent/Full Time (35 hours per week)

This position will make a significant contribution as we drive forward with new product developments, particularly in Higher Education (HE), as well as working across the full COE portfolio.

About the role
You will establish strategies to analyse new product pipelines, manage product lifecycles, and define growth targets. Your strategic thinking and rigorous approach to identifying opportunities will help deliver the most value for our team and customers.
This role sits within the Learning Propositions team in COE. You will work closely with the wider Propositions team members, Senior Leadership, Product Marketing and Project Management teams as well as University of Cambridge Academics.
Product Strategy
You will work closely with COE senior leadership and other stakeholders to meet business objectives and customer needs. You will create a product proposition development strategy for our HE portfolio and guide the teams through it as we develop products in this area.
Pipeline and Portfolio Development
You will lead creation of product proposals, identify and prioritise opportunities, build relations with the University entities, assess product viability, present proposals and oversee overall product lifecycle.
Internal Communication
You will champion product vision, strategy, and performance, creating effective presentations and briefings for boards and committees. You will co-lead pipeline meetings and report issues affecting product performance to the Learning Propositions Director.
About you
You will have significant experience in product management, ideally within online education or digital learning environments. Your strong leadership and strategic thinking skills are key to building relationships with high profile academics and driving portfolio growth. You will be comfortable using data to inform decisions and are experienced in collaborating with Academic teams.
Essential skills and experience:
* Expert knowledge of product management tools and frameworks
* Deep understanding of higher education and online learning market trends
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to draw up P&Ls and forecasts
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Ability to build rapport with various stakeholders
* High level of autonomy and ownership of work
