Youth Support Worker
Full-time Permanent Position Available – September 2024
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, Term time only, 08:30 – 15:30
Youth Support Workers required for a welcoming school based in Manchester, from September 2024!
Educators with a genuine passion for working with hard-to-reach young people and children are urged to apply. Roles and Responsibilities:
4. 1:1 and Small Group Support: Provide tailored support to individual students and small groups of up to 3-6 pupils across a range of key stages.
5. Behaviour Management: Implement effective strategies to support positive behaviour and manage challenging behaviour.
6. Individualised Plans: Work alongside teachers to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
7. Mentoring and Guidance: Provide emotional and social support to students, helping them build self-esteem and resilience.
8. Classroom Assistance: Support teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
Essential Requirements:
9. A genuine passion for supporting the teaching and learning of vulnerable young adults and children.
10. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a SEN or support setting.
11. Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills to effectively support our students.
12. Resilience and the ability to work with all levels of needs.
