Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant in a SEN Setting, Reading
We are recruiting a full-time EYFS Assistant to join a special educational needs (SEN) school in Reading, supporting nursery and primary-aged pupils. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a specialist setting, working with children who have a range of additional needs.
About the Nursery and LSA Role:
1. Full-time position within an SEN school setting
2. Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including speech and language difficulties, autism, and non-verbal communication
3. Working across nursery and primary age groups
4. Helping to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment
5. Assisting with phonics, early years development, and play-based learning
What We're Looking For:
1. Experience working with Early Years children in a UK school or nursery setting is essential
2. Experience supporting children with additional needs (e.g. autism, speech and language difficulties, non-verbal communication)
3. Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualifications are an advantage but not essential
4. Graduate and non-graduate role dependent on aspirations in therapy
5. Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
6. Educational references from the last two years
