Corporate Applications Product Manager
Grade H £38,394 - £43,188 per annum
Full Time/Permanent - Hybrid Working with a min of 2 days per week on Campus
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to oversee a portfolio of Software applications within NTU's Corporate Applications team - part of NTU's Digital Technologies department. Our goal is to deliver digital solutions that align with our strategic objectives and improve the experience for both students and staff. The Corporate Applications team is essential in managing and optimising our corporate systems to support the University's goals.
You will work strategically with Business Owners, DT Managers, and Vendors to ensure all applications are optimised for NTU’s needs. The Product Team deliver key strategic software application strategies via product roadmaps, driving both large-scale projects and a programme of continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain strategic and operational product roadmaps.
* Build and nurture relationships with vendors, owners, key users, and technical teams to understand product usage and make informed decisions.
* Gain a detailed understanding of products within your portfolio, including their deployment at NTU and their impact on both the student and staff experience.
* Manage product lifecycles and lead a programme of continuous improvement through Product Roadmapping.
* Manage identified risks within your portfolio in collaboration with Business Owners, Vendors, and internal DPO, Purchasing, Legal, and InfoSec teams.
* Implement NTU's Vendor Management strategy and collaborate with key stakeholders within the University and external suppliers/partners.
* Conduct contract negotiations and renewals to ensure NTU maximises value from vendor relationships.
* Uphold NTU's Digital Technologies' strong reputation by attending internal stakeholder meetings and external vendor meetings and conferences.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Product Manager or in a similar role.
* Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and agile methodologies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
* Proficiency in using product management tools and software.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
