Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Team Leader

Bryans Salads Ltd is a third-generation family business based in the rural moss lands of Tarleton, Lancashire. We specialize in washed, ready-to-eat sliced lettuce and salad leaves, as well as high-quality ready-to-cook vegetable packs and salad bowls for the catering and food service industries.
With over 20 years of operation, we have experienced rapid growth, and our dedicated team works year-round to ensure the freshest products reach our customers. As part of our continued expansion, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer Team Leader to join our team.
The Role:
As Maintenance Engineer Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production machinery while leading and supporting a team of engineers. You will be responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth production processes in adherence to legislative, HSE, and company standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both technical expertise and the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Key Responsibilities:
7. Leading the maintenance team to ensure production downtime is minimized
8. Carrying out mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance, setting, and repair tasks
9. Troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns efficiently
10. Implementing and supporting continuous improvement activities to enhance reliability and efficiency
11. Assisting in equipment improvements, maximizing production output, and enhancing safety
12. Providing training to operators and maintenance staff to develop multi-skilled teams
What We’re Looking For:
13. Apprentice-trained or time-served engineer
14. Ideally, Level 3 qualified in engineering
15. Strong leadership and team management skills
16. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
17. Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable
18. Experience in food production maintenance is beneficial but not a requirement
