Job details
We are seeking two individuals with driving and grounds maintenance experience to assist us in the seasonal delivery of our service. We welcome enthusiasm to learn and are looking for someone who wants to make an impact on how our parks, play areas and public open spaces are maintained for the residents of Huntingdonshire.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
To undertake, either individually, or as a member of a team, a range or horticulturally based maintenance activities including the cutting or strimming of grass, hedge cutting, pruning shrubs and Herbaceous bed maintenance.
To use a range of specialist hand tools and mechanical equipment including strimmer's, hedge cutters and ride-on mowers as directed. The undertaking of safety checks and general risk assessments.
To use a smart mobile device to receive daily scheduled work and ad-hoc jobs through the councils asset management system as directed.
Desired Requirement:
Full Driving licence with towing experience or B + E
Supported by 1 of the following skills/qualifications (or equivalent):
PA1 and PA6
NPTC Chainsaw certificate
Experienced mower driver
Horticulture NVQ/or relevant experience.
An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. Huntingdonshire District Council does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and are unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over sponsorship for any role.
